Meet Zarges – and Mortimer! Sterk celebrates as official Zarges distributor.

Zarges is the largest manufacturer of access equipment in
Europe, and at Sterk Systems, we’re proud to be an official
distributor of their outstanding range of working at height
products and equipment.

The Zarges range incorporates
everything you need as a professional, with an attention to detail
and a commitment to quality which is unrivalled in its field. The
Zarges double and triple industrial ladders,
for instance, are high quality extension ladders, easily adjusted
with rung hooks and locking tabs to ensure your safety. We also
stock Zarges step ladders, trade ladders and warehouse steps, as
well as telescopic warehouse platforms and work platforms.

Because Zarges manufacture their key products themselves, customers
benefit from all of the know-how and expertise this market leading
firm has accumulated.

By way of underscoring their commitment to
safety standards, Zarges have recently launched a new training academy at their HQ in Milton Keynes.
The academy will offer stringent training in five key areas:

– Tower scaffolds

– Podiums and work platforms under 2.5
metres

– Ladders and step ladders

– Step stools

– MEWPS

These courses are essential for anyone who
works at height on a regular basis, whether professionally or in
schools, offices or the health industry. Since 2005, when the Work
at Height regulations came into force, workers have had to
demonstrate their competency, and the Zarges
courses
are accredited for this purpose. Courses usually run
for between half a day and a day, with excellent student/instructor
ratios to ensure maximum attention for each student.

It’s said that nobody understands working at
height better than Zarges, but recently the company found someone
who might just know differently. Meet baby Mortimer, a gorgeous
baby giraffe, born at Woburn Safari Park, and sponsored by Zarges. The company ran a naming
competition for the leggy new arrival, and the winners enjoyed a
VIP safari park day in return for their naming skills. We suspect
that Mortimer will be taking a keen interest in future Zarges
products, given his likely future expertise in working at
height!
