Sedgeman Scaffolding Ltd Wins Award

There was a strong showing from NASC members at the recent
Construction News Specialist Awards in London.

The annual event had reached its 11th year
and was held at the Park Lane London Hilton in March, and NASC
members were out in force to represent excellence in
scaffolding.

NASC member Chris Sedgeman Scaffolding Ltd
was outright winner in the Access and Scaffolding category, and
five other NASC members were shortlisted in their respective
categories.

Dawlish Railway Repair
Recognition

Cornish member company Chris Sedgeman
Scaffolding Ltd received acknowledgement for work on the Dawlish
Railway repair project, which suffered damage in the storms of
2013. This achievement is the latest in a long line of accolades
and follows closely after a 2014 Project of the Year award. Given
in 2014, this award was awarded for exceptional scaffolding at the
South Crofty Tin Mine in the category for subcontracts up to 500k.
Before then the company was a finalist in 2013 and scooped two
awards in 2012.

The NASC was also represented by full
contracting members Brogan Group and GKR Scaffolding Ltd. 48.3
Scaffold Design represented NASC information members and were
shortlisted in the Access and Scaffolding category. Altrad Beaver
84 Ltd represented the NASC in the Supplier categories and was
shortlisted for one of the awards.

The ceremony was attended by nearly 800
people from over 90 shortlisted businesses. A panel of over 67
judges, made up of contractors, clients and industry leaders, were
faced with the tricky task of judging the high volume of
entries.
